Everything has its own downside: in the case of Michelin Agilis, this is the severity of the tires themselves (and this is a direct prerequisite to increased fuel consumption and deterioration of the suspension performance during fast movement over unevenness), not the best stability during abrupt maneuvers (a large tread and a high profile on most models).

This summer tires are designed more for comfort than for driver ambitions. On a straight line, it behaves perfectly (especially if you remember the price): the noise is minimal, the irregularities “swallow” well thanks to the soft sidewalls. But because of them, the reactions to sudden movements by the steering wheel are noticeably “stupid”: the choice of a calm driver is obvious, but for those who like to drive, you should take a closer look at other tire models.

The tread of rubber is a bit strange - with a very slight asymmetry, there is a slight suspicion that there is no big gain compared to a purely symmetrical pattern. Wide grooves work well in the water, but the drainage of the shoulder areas is rather weak. Yes, and the primer, especially rugged, these tires for the same reason do not like: narrow transverse grooves get clogged with dirt quickly, do not have time to clean themselves, as a result, the car starts to "float." But just for quiet movement in the city, we repeat, it will be a very good choice in terms of price and performance.

In this regard, Advan Fleva is a serious step forward. Taking into account past mistakes, the manufacturer has made tires much more versatile, able to cope well with water due to an improved tread. In comparison with the “more racing series”, the price has also become more pleasant, however, due to the production at the Philippine factory, not the Japanese factory.

However, although there are some complaints about the durability of the sidewall (however, it is not a very smart thing to rush around the pothole on the 40-45 profile), the rubber shows excellent directional stability, recalling the sporting roots of the series. For those who like to keep the tachometer higher, you can definitely recommend summer tires of this series as a good option at a reasonable price.

Good summer tires for domestic conditions - despite the softness of the sidewalls, it adequately resists hernias, but it is comfortable on unevenness and “rows” (including in ruts) well. The well-developed pattern of the grooves is good resistance to aquaplaning, and the ability to move fairly confidently off the asphalt. Is that the protector collects stones quickly, but does not like to throw them away.

Rubber durability can be described as “medium-high” - not the best in this class, but not to say that Pirelli has such problems with the resource. The drawbacks are already clear when looking at the tread - the tires are noisy, and even a certain degree of vatness is felt during the maneuvers. It is also worth noting that these summer tires are not the most economical ones - they are affected by softness, which increases rolling resistance. But given the versatility, this can be forgiven - for example, if a car in the summer often goes to the dacha for a more or less well-maintained, but still primer, the tires will be right in place. Yes, and on the track it’s quite comfortable - it keeps tires straight “like on rails,” but the noise at main speeds is still too big.

Despite the Italian name, the origin of these summer tires is the most domestic one - it went at a plus price, but, of course, similar mimicry “for import” has recently begun to bother. Nevertheless, the tires themselves came out good - quite soft for a comfortable ride, with a moderate level of noise. The asymmetrical tread has a good width of the grooves, so with the resistance to aquaplaning we also will not notice serious problems. And the car on this rubber maneuvers more than pleasantly taking into account the price.

So we have a sort of “anti-crisis" option that is useful not only for budget car owners - the list of tire sizes in this line starts from 13 inches, and ends with 255/45 R18 tires. The only thing worth noting is the clearly expressed love of rubber for good coverage: on the old asphalt the noise grows noticeably, and in the ruts you will have to make significant efforts to the steering wheel (but note, in comparison with the more expensive brands). Therefore, perhaps, to summarize: in its price segment, Viatti summer tires perform well.

The eternal pain for off-road enthusiasts is the balancing of “all-terrain” rubber: if for an automobile imbalance above 50 grams, it clearly indicates roughness of manufacture, then off-road and 200 grams per side are not uncommon. Nevertheless, the Open Country M / T series of summer tires came out fairly well balanced, so that when assembling onto wheels it is unlikely that you will have to hang over a hundred grams.

The tread pattern clearly describes the capabilities of tires: it perfectly “rows” the dirt, effectively clearing it. Get out of the rut? It’s not a question - side “checkers” will surely help with this, so these tires will suit both summer residents who are forced to drive along the traveled roads after every rain, and to fans of extreme muds on the weekends.

At the same time, Open Country is also quite good on city asphalt - you expect more noise from rubber of such a plan, acoustic comfort is quite sufficient here.Of course, the stiffness and solid weight of tires affect potholes - the blows are completely transferred to the suspension, the shock-absorbing qualities of the tires can be described no higher than three on a five-point scale.

If the SUV is used precisely according to the name, and not because it is “big and black”, then Taiwanese summer tires can be a good choice. This rubber has an excellent "catchiness", and it also rakes in the shoulder area as it should, tolerates driving under reduced pressure, so it shows itself in our "directions" with dignity.

Of course, to pay for it will have a clear dislike for asphalt in all its forms: a high level of noise, mediocre reactions to the steering wheel - in fact, which is not surprising for off-road rubber. The weight of rubber is also considerable: a set of four tires pulls more centner! This was a consequence of the design - double all-metal cord, additional reinforcement of the sidewalls do not contribute to lightness. But in terms of "indestructibility" these tires came out just great.

If Toyo's summer tires, as befits a wizard (yes, tires like mud-terrain) are called by such a curious word, rubber are primarily meant for ridden dirt and are asking for a serious all-wheel drive with mechanical transmission and differential locks, Yokohama rather, it is suitable for modern crossovers: its tread is a mixture of asphalt pattern and all-terrain protectors, which determines its character.

In the city, it will be possible to evaluate the softness of rubber and a high level of acoustic comfort, while at the same time on the ground the protector will show decent tenacity. But, as befits a crossover tire, Yokohama is not suitable for extreme sports: it is difficult to get out of the rut on it, the lateral parts of the tread are not enough zatseptis.
