TrendVision MR-710GP is the best DVR mirror in our rating. This is nothing more than an upgraded version of the already well-known MR-710: by acquiring an external GPS module, the mirror-recorder became more expensive by an average of 2,000 rubles, but it allowed using the SpeedCam application to warn about DPS cameras.
At the heart of the recorder is a modern OV4689 high-quality matrix that supports SuperHD video recording with standard frame rate, or FullHD at 60fps, which is preferable for recording fast motion. A seven-lens lens with a quick-release filter provides a clear picture with minimal distortion, and a viewing angle of 147 degrees can be considered optimal for all motorists if they do not need to fit the entire MKAD into a frame at once, sacrificing detail (and seriously). The electronic filling is also up-to-date: the Ambarella A7LA70D processor with two gigabytes of RAM easily copes with the digitization of the video stream with the H.264 codec, while being quite economical: a small built-in battery in case something happens for 20 minutes. The built-in memory did not disappoint: its volume is 128 gigabytes, plus there are two slots for SD-cards. The mounting of the rear-view mirror is standard for this class - two quick-release clamps.It is a pity that the lens traditionally comes forward, immediately getting lost when carrying, although TrendVision also has more convenient solutions. A worthy representative of the budget class, to whom the author, perhaps, would give a sympathy prize for value for money: this mirror-pad has an additional camera with IR illumination, the built-in front-facing camera does not go beyond the dimensions, and therefore does not get lost when removed, the screen is rendered in right side of the mirror and does not interfere with using it for the main purpose. And all this for sane money.
Naturally, in the best traditions of low-cost video recorders, the matrix here is noisy and “podzamylena”, but given the 140-degree viewing angle, it is possible to get sanity detailing in Full HD mode. To be honest, the gadget doesn’t lose much in this respect to the TrendVision aMirror combine harvester, which also fell into our rating of the best rear-view mirror DVRs - and the difference in price is incomparable. So, if you don’t need onboard Android and a bunch of additional functions of different utility, for four times less money you will get almost the same picture, albeit digitized by budget standards in AVI. The set of functions is also traditional for such a price: there is a G-sensor, autostart recording. What causes a negative is the removal of the down converter into the cigarette lighter plug itself; 5V comes to the mirror, so just biting off the plug and making hidden wiring will not work. In addition, the pulse converter significantly contaminates the air with interference through the power cable - it looks like they saved a LowESR capacitor in the filter. Main advantages:

Disregarding the very strange sound of a brand for a Russian ear, we have an interesting representative of its class, besides a budget one. A wide-angle rearview mirror in itself has a good overview of the rear hemisphere, and the built-in screen with a diagonal of 4.3 ”is shifted to the right and does not interfere with the use of the DVR for its intended purpose. As can be understood from the name, the set includes two cameras - one is built into the mirror itself, the second is an external one, with a traditional mount on the corner bracket. The quality of the cameras is determined by the price: the front is a 1.3 megapixel matrix, and the viewing angle is 120 degrees, the rear is a regular VGA matrix (640x480) with a viewing angle of optics of 90 degrees. Accordingly, the image quality is the same as that of all budget DVRs, once again it makes no sense to describe it. But if you consider that in this format the registrar does not take up too much space, the Dunobil Spigel Duo will be a good replacement for the usual “state employee”. The fastening here is the simplest: the mirror is hung on the staff with two elastic clamps, which makes it easy to remove. For a reasonably affordable price, we are offered an interesting device - the first thing to do is to place the camera on the swivel bracket at the bottom of the mirror. It will be useful for those who like to record conversations with DPS inspectors - it is easy to turn the camera through the window, but it is inconvenient to constantly shoot such a mirror at night, and there is a risk of damaging the bracket once.
The main disadvantage of this solution is directly dictated by the dimensions of the optics and the matrix: if we consider this gadget as a DVR, the ratio of price and image quality will not be in its favor. However, do not forget about the rest of the functionality of Android installed on the device with minimal refinement of the source code (such improvements following the example of the outsider of the rating are not always beneficial). There is also a rear camera with two LED backlights. Fortunately, the developers did not shift all control to the touch screen: there are keys below it, which will make it much less likely to wipe fingerprints. It is curious that the diagnostic program for OBD-II is already pre-installed in the device - you can buy an adapter and not search the application in the Play Market. Another interesting multifunctional rear-view mirror with a DVR and two cameras. The representative of the most budget-friendly Android gadgets entered the market not so long ago, and finding it on sale is more difficult than competing products. Meanwhile, the “hardware” here is exactly the same as on common models: the quad-core Allwinner A33 processor, 5-megapixel front camera with a standard Chinese “dice” additional. It is distinguished by its unconventional display design: do not peck on the seven-inch diagonal in the characteristics - the screen is stretched wide, with a strange resolution of 1280x480. Accordingly, in the graphical interface, all control buttons are shifted to the right.
Note that the bundle has a GPS antenna, which is not bad for such a cheap gadget. Taking into account the common "sores" of all multifunctional mirrors, and especially with the instability of applications, which Arena has over 20 thousand more, would it not be better to buy a less promoted "Chinese"? Thanks to the support of the popular operating system, a regular set of applications is easy to expand: with aMirror you can not only use the navigator while driving (although the five-inch screen is too small for this), but also make calls, distribute via WiFi the Internet from the installed SIM card (or receive it ), watch movies, and by purchasing a cheap ELM adapter on the same aliexpress and installing the appropriate application, turn the mirror into an on-board computer.Using GPS, the system of warnings about traffic police posts and road cameras also works, which can automatically replenish the database via a 3G mirror module or WiFi. Not bad, right? For this, in principle, you can even forgive the need to regularly wipe the fingerprints from the mirror. What to look for when choosing a rearview mirror?
The most convenient way to install a mirror lining, which are of two types:
- Mirrors with elastic clamps cover the standard mirror with rubber elements that are stretched between the mounting ears when installing. They are securely fixed, do not crawl in place and do not creak, but only under one condition - if the standard rear-view mirror has sufficient width.
- Mirrors with elastic or sliding clips cover the staff at the top and bottom with plastic “legs”, so they stand on narrow mirrors, but there are problems with height, and the mount may begin to weaken over time
Therefore, if we are talking about a panoramic mirror, it is better to try different options, choosing the most convenient for your car. Naturally, when choosing a registrar mirror or a monitor mirror, first of all you need to pay attention to the “stuffing”.
The only option that is definitely worth avoiding is suction pad mounting. It's funny, but when writing this article, even a mirror-recorder with such fasteners met, and almost all the reviews in one voice described his unreliability.
As for the mirrors that replace the staff, there are mostly lucky owners of popular modern cars: most of the bracket models are suitable for them, sometimes even “branded” versions are issued with a branded bracket type and logo of the brand on the start screen saver when loading. If you have, say, a ten-year-old Opel Astra (although this is quite a common model), it is unlikely that something from modern installation kits will work, well, modifying what is under warranty is more expensive.
