I chose from ultrazoom (Nikon L820 and P520, Canon SX50 HS, Panasonic FZ72, Fuji S8200 / 8300/8400), settled on Sony. I will start with shortcomings - for me they are small: 1. I always plan to buy a spare battery for cameras in advance. It was surprising that Sony does not have a more capacious assortment - there is enough space for it in the camera; 2. The lens cover is easy to lose - that's why I immediately drilled it and tied it under the strap nut from the original LCJ-HL case. Now about the pros. Conveniently in the hand, very fast autofocus compared to other models. After reading reviews about the noise and quality of images, inflated megapixels, in fact, many exaggerate the paint, but of course, there is no smoke without fire. The size of the matrix and aperture zoom lens - really limit the quality against DSLRs. From this camera it is easy to achieve excellent quality day by 15-20 megapixels. At dusk, if the flash cannot be used (either far away, or where it is not allowed to use it), you just need to turn on one of the two pre-configured modes, when the camera without the flash takes several pictures at once. After that, the pictures are clear, the noise is reduced by about an order of magnitude compared to the fully automatic mode - but the resolution is better to be roughened, no more than 10 megapixels. And pictures of children who can not stand still on the spot can be easily obtained at home in the evening without a flash, without switching to manual modes.Night mode, as in the ancient Sony 828 (in infrared light and illuminated), in mass cameras for a long time no one does. The flash pleased everyone, except for gluttony. But I think that gluttony and brightness are two sides of the same coin. A portrait in height from 10 meters with a flash turns out perfectly. A couple of hundred shots on one battery charge can be done, even actively using the zoom and flash. Adjusting the zoom toothed ring on the lens is very convenient. There are no comments on the video - everything is fine. If the quality of the HX300 is not enough, then only SLRs or system cameras provide even better quality.

Certainly he was as careful as he could and, to my surprise, the screen withstood all the hardships and remained as good as new.
- -Quality of shooting: Traveled to countries with a very bright sun, shoots with a bang. In twilight, also, everything turns out naturally. I almost did not use the flash, it turns out to be a little bit of light.
- -Wide viewing angle - this was one of the main conditions for choosing this unit. The wide viewing angle allows you not to move away from the object in order to capture it more, but to shoot right next to it. The frame gets more background, etc .. For me, this is a very convenient and advanced option.
- - Sound recording - sound recording pleased me. Everything is clearly audible. Yes, the zoom is also SLIGHTLY audible (I repeat, only slightly), but they warn about this in the instructions (I do not consider it a disadvantage).

-Accumulators are a bit weak, but, nevertheless, they were enough for me for several hours of constant power-up and about a couple of hours of video recording + numerous photos (at maximum resolution settings). Two batteries were close enough for a day of excursions with a constantly switched on fotikom (at the same time, I loved to bring everything closer and remove, sometimes even just to consider something).
-Slightly: For me, there was not enough delay before auto-photography (if I may say so). Sometimes it was possible to put the camera only 50-70 meters from the place of photographing.Zoom easily adjusted such distance as if everything was close by. However, the delay is so small that it was difficult to reach the place of photography.
-Auto power off - If you turn on the camera and hold it for some time without action (without video turned on, for example, or do not move for a long time with a zoom, etc.), it will automatically turn off. This option can not be attributed to positive or negative points - it is only a function of use (it can be turned off, but I did not find it), which will be useful for someone, useless for someone, and for someone completely invisible. For me, this option was a constant problem. I liked to keep my camera ready, and I constantly considered different ones, including and distant objects. And here you look at yourself, look, enjoy, and then bang, auto power off.
As an amateur, I am delighted with this unit. For me, all its functions and options are just for the eyes. The described cons are lost on the background of pluses.

I went to the store to buy a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 Kit, read a lot about it on the Internet and was confident in my choice. But how can I resist when the seller showed me this Sony with the same photo quality, plus a still powerful zoom and other gadgets? Damn it! Added a few thousand on top and left pleased. Climbed on the Internet to read about him, and there are a lot of negative reviews. Then the photo on the computer looked - and really something was not right.
After 2 weeks I came to the conclusion, which is reflected in the strengths and weaknesses of my review.
My advice to you: do not listen to these supposedly professionals, who, using abstruse terms, criticize this model. This is not a SLR, but a soap dish with great potential. And the price is quite adequate (a DSLR with the same bells and whistles will be several times more expensive).Spend a little time to figure out all the features and get used to it. And then enjoy the result!
