bought a week ago. Less than 64k, he was never proposed anywhere, commenting above clearly confuses the model.
The previous laptop was Sony Vaio F, replaced by Lenovo for seniority. After Sony didn’t like the keystroke - flatter, blurry, the touchpad click is similar, but with a backlight, which is bright, playful, which is sometimes annoying. The hard drive was immediately replaced by ssd m5p pro, after which the car began to play. Softtach cover pleasant, but gets dirty. The speakers even play, not squeak. It was upsetting that in 2014 the package bundle with dvd- and not bd-drive is considered normal (the same Sony in 2010 ...), and this is a premium multimedia laptop.
In general, the machine is more than satisfied, and of course there is no ideal option, but Lenovo has something to strive for.

Virtues

- + Screen: LG's 17-inch IPS matrix, model LP173WF4-SPF1, is quite good after calibration.
- + Touch: full 10-point multitouch. In practice, more than 3-4 fingers are rarely required. But Win 8.1 management has improved significantly. It has become much more convenient to work with modern applications. Surface rests on the sidelines, if we consider all the parameters.
- + Iron: a complete set of i7 + 8 GB of RAM + GTX860M 4 GB. Miracles do not wait, but gaming performance is at the proper level. I don't particularly play, but with Prototype 2 there were no problems at all at the maximum settings. Switches tasks very quickly, delays are associated with only one bottleneck in performance - the hard disk.
- + Cooling: very effective. Under load, the CPU temperature did not exceed 65 degrees, and most often it is kept around 60. In simple 40-45, depending on the presence and activity of background tasks. About the video card until I say, did not track. Since the engineers were finally given the go-ahead for the removal of a clearly extra DVD-drive, they filled the vacated space with a second fan. It turned out very quietly and efficiently. A DVD drive is still left as an external device.
- + Double graphics: NVidia shuts down when there are no demanding tasks. There is no official support for Optimus technology, but energy efficiency does not fail. In the same games, you can use both cards, if the game allows: HD4600 to give to the mercy miscalculation of physics, and GTX - everything else, for example.
- + Sound: I am not a professional, so I definitely can not appreciate it. But one thing I can say for sure: much better than the vast majority of notebook tweeters. Now my speakers for 300 rubles rest on the shelf, for they are inferior in sound quality, but not in volume.
- + Design: the look is very aggressive, but in moderation. The backlight is very original, and the eyes do not hurt much, despite its red color.
- + Battery: at low load, it holds for about 4 hours, if you adjust the screen brightness and power plan. Under a small load or at a high brightness, 1.5-2 hours can stretch, which I consider to be a good indicator.

- There are shortcomings and features that need to get used to. But the obvious shortcomings at the moment only 1:
- HDD. This is the slowest place in the system. Initially, the disk is divided into as many as 6 partitions, the main of which occupies almost 890 GB of the total 931 GB.The verdict is unambiguous here: replacing with SSD, and storing the multimedia collection on an external screw that can be connected via USB 3.0. From such a step, the performance will jump once more to 2, if not more.
- * I personally have to get used to the keyboard, sometimes I do not fully press the keys.
- * The touchpad cannot be configured to double tap. Just double tap with full touch. It is very inconvenient, given that the touchpad's move is quite large, and he also has two steps.
- * Any surface of the laptop is very branded, except, perhaps, the keyboard. Keep a rag nearby =)
- * Glossy screen. Yes, the colors are undistorted, but when the lamps turn on in the room, the glare comes from all sides, which is not convenient. Decided to purchase anti-glare film, which I will soon do.

I gave 65.1 kilorubles for this bundle, which I consider to be a bit overpriced, but at the moment prices below 60 kilorubles cannot be found if you do not take into account payment with bonuses / promotions, etc. Before the price jumps, this machine could easily have been taken for 50 kilorubles, but now it will take too long to wait for the prices to fall to their previous level.
Very amused that USB ports are virgin. To connect a flash drive, you need to make a lot of effort =) Over time, they will be developed, I hope. =) By the way, only the right USB 2.0 has the function of direct power supply when the laptop is turned off.

To work in Unity3D + Visual Studio for its value (purchased for 58.500) I got a very decent working system (Core i7 + 8GB).
But the speed of loading from the disk did not suit (Windows 37 sec, opening Unity3d + project 118 sec, first run after boot into Unity 50-80 sec.), Ran it several times, I thought the SSD cache on the hybrid had not worked yet, but the result did not improve .
After installing the Samsung 840 Evo SSD (and enabling AHCI and settings via the Samsung utility) everything became much more cheerful (Windows 20 seconds, opening the Unity3d + project 21 seconds, launching in Unity 18-20 seconds).
Windows 7 rated the processor and memory at 7.7, and the disk at 7.9 out of 7.9, which is very solid.
I hardly see any difference in the speed of work from a stationary powerful office machine.
3 hours of work in energy saving mode is not very much, but not bad either.
