Virtues

I print photos on the P50 for the money. the printer beats the price fairly quickly, unpretentious to the conditions of operation and non-original.
I had the whole line: R200 / 220 - R270 - R290 - T50 - P50. The service life of these printers is 2 years on average, then problems begin (each model has its own), NOT directly related to the use of non-original consumables. Often this is due to the banal wear of the device.
Tip: if you want to keep the printer working for as long as possible, print in high quality all the time and do not print on plain paper. IMHO, as they say.

The most important advantage of the printer is that it can be installed on the ink supply system (CISS), after which the cost of ink is reduced every fifty. I tried to experiment with the color profiles - the result was not pleased, the profile greatly reduces the color gamut. I used Moorim inks, chose the Vivid 2.2 gamma in the print settings, I am very pleased with the result, the printer has conveyed complex colors very precisely.

Work experience with the printer for two years. still satisfied. It does not turn off (we print a lot). I made albums. Graduation class 4 both classes remained Satisfied with quality. The main thing is not to save on paint and photo paper. Even color photos on plain (office) paper from our Epson are an order of magnitude higher from the four Canon that are in our school. I DO NOT ADVERTISE the CISS, I JUST DESCRIBE THEIR FEELS TO SAY WHEN USING THE PRINTER !!!!! n1.Easy to refuel the CISS.n2. there was no time for a break anymore) n3. Ease of the service for cleaning the nozzles. Still, a lot depends on the brand of ink use. The second person pays twice. And lastly. This is where the resolution and photo quality plays a very big role! I have 5D mark 2 with it get excellent quality photo A4.
But there is also an opposite effect, which for most is not a discovery: it is inexpedient to print a photo of more than 13x18 from cheap soap cases, since all the delights of cheap optics and matrix including digital noise will be transferred to paper in the same way.
I took it right away with the established CISS, for I don’t see any reason to take such a device and spend a fortune on cartridges. Honestly I did not expect such a good result in terms of printing photos. But still with a CISS is a compromise between quality and price, because all the same, the original cartridges are a little better, but we add to the meager volume of ink the price of the original paper and the cleaning of the print head (you still have to do it), which eats about a tenth of each cartridge and we get a very expensive photo output. Not a big improvement in quality is not worth such an expense.
I use it purely at home, fully satisfies all needs. The only paper with a density of less than 180g, I would not recommend. Otherwise, only pluses.
In terms of reliability, I can say this: The printer itself does not cause problems, it causes problems periodically clogged nozzles because of what it starts to strip. The printer for six years is the fifth. I started with the 59th, after four printers T-50 and here is the last P-50. I print about 8-10 thousand sheets of A-4 per year. If it begins to act up, I don’t bother, but I buy a new one. Thus, the cost of approximately 1 ruble, not counting ink and paper. It costs to print with a CISS, with refilled cartridges there are a lot of defects on ink zeroing, besides blots appear from the frequent connector of the cartridge with the head after changing the cartridge.On the back of the printer, you should cut the hose that supplies ink to the diapers and bring them into a separate container by connecting them to the pharmacy hose from the dropper kit.
