The revolutionary X-Trans matrix, the pixel structure of which imitates film grain and the appearance of a 35 mm film camera captivated me, and I decided to take the Fuji X-E2 as the most suitable price / performance ratio, plus a regular 18-55 praise. I must say, not without reason. Before that, I considered the benchmark 18-55 from Pentax, but this one surpassed it by resolution exactly. Color parity, the rest of the indicators are not important to me. That is, once again returning from film to figure, I did not return to the previous level of quality, but I already saw a new level, which increased in 5 years, with which I am very pleased. I was pleased with the quality at high ISO, there was no limit to surprise. The absence of an anti-filter filter was particularly pleased, it was a decisive factor why I took crop, and not FF.Detailing is not worse, and the price is less. I am ready to turn a blind eye to the shortcomings in the form of EGF recalculation and a greater depth of field. I was pleased with the electronic viewfinder, I expected much worse, but it is better than the optical one on the crop cameras. The magnificent viewfinder of the previous camera, which I upgraded by installing a third-party focusing screen, is not suitable for fixing the soles. A mirrorless camera doesn’t have a back-up / front-focus problem and there is a 10x magnification of the viewfinder, so focusing with a manual focus lens is no longer a problem (this was a very important factor for me). A short working segment allows you to install any old lenses, so lovers of ancient optics are all in Fuji!
Regarding the quality of jpeg directly from the camera, I’ll say that it’s difficult to notice the difference on a 20x30 print, but for large formats and obviously more detail, you should still use third-party, little-known converters, which you can learn about at specialized Fuji forums.
I didn’t have much to shoot, but I was very pleased with the fact that my friends like their portraits (for handheld optics), I have a landscape on a whale, an acquaintance of a photographer has sold 5D and is buying the same camera.

Merits

Long thought, wait for Nikon d7200 or take Fudge? I didn’t want to change the system, but - a special thanks to the Nikon employees - I decided to take Fudge. At first it was wildly unusual and even uncomfortable. But then ... What a pleasure it is: the aperture on the lens, the shutter speed, the exposure compensation on the drum. All this is a little old school, but these warm memories of the father Zenith are priceless!

The ergonomics for mirrorless cameras is not bad, the autofocus is average, albeit hybrid, but it does not reach the DSLRs. The noise cancellation is super, the 3200 is enough for shooting at night with decent quality hands. Avtoiso well implemented, you can set priorities and limit exposure. Quick menu is convenient. The camera jpeg is not bad, but it does not hold out to Rav. I filmed both in light rain and in a blizzard, and at minus 10, the camera, though not all-weather, but withstood all without consequences. If you don’t walk around with the screen turned on all the time, the battery holds up quite well: after a 2-hour walk and about two hundred photos, all the divisions remain complete. I needed a camera to capture the city - light and nimble and architectural photography - with good detail and sharp. This camera copes with this formulation of the problem and gives pleasure from the process of shooting.

The camera has a gyroscope and the ability to display a horizontal line when focusing. Accuracy is enough to roughly ruin the horizon, but not enough for architectural photography.
Wi-Fi, which is so often praised, the function is useful and fun, but connecting to the camera is not the most convenient. If you win the connection, it is very nice to control the camera on a long exposure on a tripod.
There is no mode dial on the camera - and that's great. Shutter priority is enabled by setting your own shutter speed; aperture - switch on the lens. Under customizable programs, a separate button is highlighted.
The case is made of high-quality plastic, but in comparison it loses much to the quality of aluminum lenses. Rather, after aluminum lenses you begin to hope that the body is not imitation, but real, metal.
The in-camera processing of a jeep at height is simply miracles of getting rid of aberrations and quality of detail. But I could not steadily get rid of my own purple shade inside the camera.
Special mention deserves the work of the camera at −30 ° C for more than two hours.
